PAUSE "JEDA" photography exhibition 2006

PAUSE photography exhibition held at Art House at Home and Taman Ismail Marzuki in 2006. This exhibit offers how photography could be a recording of themselves, an effort to keep track of daily life. Subjective memory be anything that allows recorded again. Supported the use of digital technology in photography technology, enabling everyday life can be recorded more intensive and touches the sides, which in the category of analog photo it is often seen as a dramatic moment.

This is my first exhibition entitled "clinical" works speak through the medium of photo record of all forms of the object and the subject is in a bathroom that is located in a room which is used as a base camp for children Lenteng forum live, play, and discussions.
Responsive to the personal rang treated as public property that is the gap in my life.

The Piegons

At that time, when I was in the second grade of junior high school in Jakarta. Like other boys, my passion in the pigeons, mainly inspired from seatmate friend  Rendi who is now deceased.
Every evening after school we played a bird, on a football field that are not being used, maghrib we also go home and bathe the birds and feed and put it in a cage has been cleaned. My house and my house {deceased} quite far.
After a long time I could collect my allowance for buy two pairs of pigeons taht i keept at home, some of the tricks that have taught to me in caring for and play with pigeon a little by little I apply, until about a month there was news about a citizen of Singapore who died bird flu virus, the first time the virus has become famous.
around 4am my father woke to immediately release the pigeons that after hearing the news on television ....
The next morning the two pairs that I failed to escape with indignation hearts, but somehow the bird and then back again to the nest box that I made from scrap wood egg, almost a week of the incident is repeated. and my father is still angry.
Then I thought of my (deceased) who has a collection of pigeons that many, once arrived at school I tried to sell the daraku birds, but Rendi said; "I do not have any money." perckapan hose length, I decided to do a barter system with him, the two pairs of birds daraku I exchange with a tape and a pencil almbun OASIS contents which indeed is a trend that year.

SAROTIN

Sarotin (46) skin tumors over 40 years in Jakarta, Indonesia. 1993 Sarotin never do surgery and get a tumor weighing 70 kilograms of meat but still terseut tumor grows until now.
Sarotin bereaved widow that her husband have 4 children , one of her eldest son named Tiolina same disease with him . Twenty years ago sarotin domiciled in Bandung , West Java , Indonesia and never get medical assistance geratis Operations by the local government .
on the medical operation as 70.5 kg of meat behind the body successfully removed .
but that does not help much operastion meat on his back continues to grow back and enlarged .
The current women 's Move to Jakarta and occupy the house measuring 25 feet by paying IDR 400,000 a month rent . The woman moved to Jakarta because of his family in Bandung feel embarrassed to have family who suffer from a strange disease . Sarotin daily begging people expect mercy .
He did it to provide for his four children .
Sarotin hope for the future he can recover and re beautiful like most women .

when I tried to document the appearance of body art performances from artists 69 PerformanceClub reminds me of the story of the biblical Garden of Eden. This is an appearance of the Special Edition "Plataran" from the 69PerformanceClub,  in Plataran Distric in Bogor-West Java, Indonesia. 

Four artists (Abi Rama, Hanif Alghifary, Ragil Dwi Putra and Muhammad Fauzan) from 69 Performance Club tried to respond to the forces of nature through gestures as a medium for creating, without shame shame they do art movements of the body without wearing the room is open.

69performanceclub initiated by forumlenteng to study socio-cultural phenomenon through performance arts. 

69 Performance Club is doing activities such as conducting workshops, monthly performance, discussion and research on the development of performance arts in Indonesia. This initiative is open to observers, enthusiasts and performance actors to engage actively and be part of the 69 Perfomance Club programs. even now the artists are reluctant to give the title to the work performance of their body art.
